Cristiano Ronaldo attracted attention when he accepted the Global Soccer Award in Dubai on Friday. The football star received two awards, namely the best player in the Middle East and the best goalscorer of all time.

For the event, Ronaldo, who plays for the Al-Nassr team, wore a pearl gray wool suit from Givenchy. The suit’s jacket featured two slit pockets and a strap that looped around the neck. The jacket has a slimmer fit and also features a U-lock metal detailing on the strap.

Metal locks were first introduced as a house code in 2020 under Matthew Williams at Givenchy. He was inspired by the tradition of leaving padlocks on the Pont des Arts in Paris. He often used locks on jackets, boots and bags, becoming one of his trademarks. Williams left the company in 2023.

Ronaldo complemented the suit with a Jacob & Co. Royal Baguette watch. The bracelet is made of 18k white gold and is fully set with baguette-cut diamonds and a rose-cut diamond on the crown.

Ronaldo’s son Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. also attended the event. He wore a black, gray and blue mink jacket from Louis Vuitton. It features the LV logo on the chest as well as a pixel print that Pharrell Williams reintroduced to the label during his tenure. He paired it with black pants.

As he accepted the trophies, he referred to his longtime girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez as his wife. During his acceptance speech, Ronaldo said: “It is a great pleasure to win this trophy. My eldest son is here, my wife is here.” The two have been together since 2016, but have never publicly stated that they are married.

Rodriguez also opted for black, wearing a black lace dress with a peek-a-boo satin bodice. The bodycon dress featured long sleeves and was paired with black pointed toe pumps. She also wore a yellow diamond necklace and earrings and carried a black crocodile Hermes Birkin bag.
