My kind of girl. Tonight, Miranda Lambert is scheduled to appear on CBS Network New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Party, which airs nationwide from Music City. She will sing a few new songs of hers Postcards from Texas album released earlier this year, including “Dammit Randy” and a cover of David Allen Coe’s “Living On the Run.” And in an interview with Bunnie “We’re hosting Nashville’s big ol’ New Year’s Eve party at Casa Rosa. I’m doing two new songs from my new album ‘Postcards From Texas.'” One is called “Dammit Randy” and one is a cover of David Allen Coe called “Living On the Run.” It has that 70’s retro bada** vibe and I thought it would be perfect for New Year’s Eve. And when Bunnie asked about resolutions she tries to set that are hard to keep, Miranda joked that it’s usually about “cursing less and drinking less,” but she never really pushes through it too much… and honestly I said, I’ve never had the feeling of being seen like that. So many resolutions are much easier said than done. So if you’re someone who makes them every year and sticks to them, good for you… I don’t usually set resolutions, and when I do, they were pretty easy and achievable. Maybe this is cheating, I don’t know, but like Miranda, I’ve learned not to do it at all, especially something so far outside of possibility that I later hate myself and wonder why I can’t do it pull through. She also explained that she now sets “intentions” rather than traditional “resolutions,” so it might be worth trying this year instead (although, honestly, I probably won’t): “Oh God. Usually it’s about swearing less, drinking less, less of everything. But you know, I stopped making resolutions, I now set intentions. It’s a little more doable and a little less scary.” I found Miranda to be the most relatable because she is a self-proclaimed personality Miller Lite girl with “an RBF”, but luckily I was wrong. We like to have a little drink and chat, and personally I think it enhances the charming personality rather than detracting from it… CBS Network New Year’s Eve live: Nashville’s big party will include artists Erik Church , Miranda Lambert , Post Malone Luke Combs, Chris Stapleton, Zach Top, Lainey Wilson, Jelly Roll, Keith Urban, Kane Brown, Big & Rich, Luke Bryan, Tyler Hubbard, Shaboozey, Brittney Spencer and Parker McCollum.
