Dan Da Dan Season 2 announced and it’s only a few months away

Dan Da Dan was immediately renewed for Season 2 following the release of Episode 12 and the conclusion of Season 1 today, December 19, and is just a few months away.

Crunchyroll reiterated the announcement from Dan Da Dan’s social media account, revealing that season two episodes would be available directly on its streaming service upon their release in July 2025.

Nothing further has been said about the new season, although it continues to follow the adventures of Momo Ayase and her classmate Ken “Okarun” Takakura. The upcoming story is of course not entirely unknown, as the original Dan Da Dan manga is currently running in Shonen Jump and has been since 2021.

“When high school student Momo, from a family of spirit mediums, meets her classmate Okarun, an occult freak, for the first time, they argue: Momo believes in ghosts but denies aliens, and Okarun believes in aliens but denies ghosts,” it says in the table of contents.

“When both phenomena are revealed to be real, Momo awakens a hidden power and Okarun gains the power of a curse. Together they must challenge the paranormal forces that threaten their world.”

In our 8/10 review of the first three episodes, IGN said: “Dan Da Dan opens the series full of fun, craziness and a surprising duo that sets a strong foundation for what’s to come.”
