Dana White has broken his silence amid the Los Angeles wildfires but has yet to comment on the status of UFC 311 on January 18 at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood.

As the flames continue to wreak havoc in Los Angeles County, UFC fans have pointed out the proximity of the fire to the venue and home of the LA Clippers.

The Sunset Fire near Runyon Canyon Park and the Palisades Fire near Skull Rock Overlook are particularly alarming because they are about 20 miles from the arena.

While White and Co. haven’t spoken about any issues surrounding the event, the UFC boss offered his help to the victims and praised the work of first responders.

“I love that!!! Already called @govjoelombardo. “Many respects to all first responders from Nevada and California,” White wrote on Instagram. “Anything you need for me or @ufc we have it.”

The promotion’s first pay-per-view, headlined by Islam Makhachev and Arman Tsarukyan’s lightweight title fight, appears to be going well.

However, several sporting events were affected by the disaster, with the Kings and Lakers having postponed their events at the Crypto.com Arena.

“Our hearts go out to the entire Los Angeles community,” the Kings wrote. “We thank the hardworking first responders who are working diligently to contain the fire and protect our community.” We appreciate the league’s support in ensuring the safety of our fans, staff and players.

On the other hand, the NBA is closely examining the situation as the LA Rams’ NFL playoff showdown with the Minnesota Vikings has been moved from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood to State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

Award-winning MMA journalist Ariel Helwani reported that the UFC would move the card immediately if the fires became an issue.

“UFC has had discussions about the status of UFC 311 next weekend, I’m told,” Helwani wrote.

“Currently, 311 is housed at Intuit. The hope is that it stays there. But they are monitoring the situation and are ready to move the map if necessary. No talks about delaying the card. Obviously that call needs to be made soon. The event is still eight days away.’

“Vegas would be the frontrunner.” Notable: The T-Mobile Arena is not fully booked next Saturday, January 18.’
