According to Nielsen, 6.36 million people tuned in to see Joey Graziadei and Jenna Johnson take home the Mirrorball trophy on Tuesday night, marking the highest live+same-day total ever Dancing with the stars since the Season 29 finale in 2020.

Compared to last year, the Season 33 finale’s total viewership increased by 16%. The number is also up almost 25% compared to last week, when around 5.1 million viewers watched the semi-finals. That was the best audience of the season at the time.

The latest episode also saw a 70% year-over-year increase among adults ages 18 to 49. Speaking of the demo, the three-hour season finale received an impressive 1.14 rating, which is its best rating in seven years.

According to Disney, the Season 33 finale once again broke the fan voting record with 32 million votes for the five finalists, 12 million more than the semifinals.
