Compared to last year, the Season 33 finale’s total viewership increased by 16%. The number is also up almost 25% compared to last week, when around 5.1 million viewers watched the semi-finals. That was the best audience of the season at the time.

The latest episode also saw a 70% year-over-year increase among adults ages 18 to 49. Speaking of the demo, the three-hour season finale received an impressive 1.14 rating, which is its best rating in seven years.
