FRISCO, Texas – Former Cowboys safety Darren Woodson was named a finalist for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2025 on Saturday, making him a finalist for the third consecutive year.

Woodson, a member of the Cowboys Ring of Honor, is in his 17th year^Th Year of eligibility to get into the hall, but failed in the last two years as one of the 15 finalists. The only finalist who has been eligible for some time is former Eagles cornerback Eric Allen, who is in his 19th year^Th Year of eligibility.

Woodson has been named a semifinalist nine times, with the Class of 2023 being his first chance to compete in Canton.

In his 12 seasons with the Cowboys, Woodson was a member of three Super Bowl-winning teams, a four-time All-Pro and a five-time Pro Bowler. He is the all-time leading tackler in franchise history.
