Darryl Yap calls Pepsi Paloma a “victim”

Before Vic Sotto Filing a lawsuit against the “maker of the Pepsi Paloma trailer,” Darryl Yap, the director behind it upcoming filmHe described the late sexy actress as a “victim”.

Previously, Sotto’s camp informed members of the media about the planned filing of a complaint in the Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court on Thursday, January 9, at 10 a.m. This was apparently due to the mention of the TV host’s name in Yap’s film trailer as one of the alleged rapists of Paloma.

Yap then shared a screenshot of the media release and reports about it via his Facebook page on Wednesday, January 8.

The filmmaker also shared a photo of Paloma in a separate post with the caption “VICTIM” and the hashtags “Pepsi Paloma” and “TROPP”, which stands for the title of his film.

However, Yap has not commented publicly on Sotto’s legal action at this time.

Yap released the trailer of his film on January 2, which received mixed reactions from netizens. The trailer featured a scene where Gina Alajar, who plays Charito Solis, confronts Rhed Bustamante, who plays the role of Paloma, if she was indeed raped by Sotto.

Responding to reactions to the trailer, Yap claimed the film was a “shocking, truthful revelation” and said he had no personal or political motive to nail Sotto. He further said that the plot of the project is based on the accounts of the late sexy star’s family.
