The NFL playoff schedule is about to be finalized.

As the final pieces of the playoff picture fall into place in Week 18, the league will soon announce the full slate – with associated dates, times and television information – for all Wild Card Round games. Little is known at this point – other than the fact that the two-time defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs will not be in action after securing the AFC’s No. 1 seed with home-field advantage and a first-round bye. They will be joined by either the Detroit Lions or Minnesota Vikings in the NFC, while the twelve other postseason participants compete against each other over three days.
