From then on, the Jets recorded a total of 220 yards and 11 first downs, but were unable to find the end zone again, despite entering Rams territory three times and the red zone once, where they secured a 21-yard field goal from Anders Carlson satisfied to end the first half.

“I wouldn’t say we had any problems offensively,” Adams said. “I would say we found it difficult to score. You could say it’s the same thing, but in some ways it was more disappointing that we were able to drive down the field and not score.”

Adams finished the game with 7 receptions for 68 yards and the Jets’ only touchdown. Wilson had 6 receptions for 54 yards. The Jets were aggressive throughout, going on fourth down five times, including once from their own 33-yard line.

“At this point in the season we’re trying to develop the mindset of being aggressive,” Adams said. “We have a lot of guys on the offensive side of the ball that can make plays, so the mindset of the whole team is just to be aggressive and do whatever it takes to get points.”

Adams & Co. will finish the year with a road game against Buffalo in Week 17 before hosting Miami at MetLife Stadium for the season finale. Despite a 4-11 record, Wilson expects the offense to continue to move forward.

“I expect all the boys to be very proud of our last few games,” Wilson said. “We all love doing this and we are expected to do it at a high level and we want to do it. I don’t expect anything other than that. I expect us to do our best and see where that takes us.”
