Dave Blunts shares reason for hospitalization after leak…

Dave Blunts confirmed his hospitalization on Instagram on Thursday after a video surfaced of him sleeping in his hospital bed.

“Yesterday, instead of taking care of his kids or checking to see if he had a job that would actually match his applications, yesterday a 40-year-old man decided to come into my room while I was sleeping and take me in to my hospital bed. Then I wake up.” “It’s been posted on several blogs and sites that I’m in the hospital,” he wrote in the post’s caption.

Blunts explained that he had to go to the hospital when his flu symptoms continued to worsen. The 23-year-old rapper thought he saw it during his show at the Roxy Theater in Los Angeles last week.

Blunts also said he withheld news of his hospitalization because he feared people would think he wasn’t taking his health journey seriously.

“I promise that I am 100% focused on improving my health in 2025 and this setback makes me feel like I can’t do it because every time I try something like this I get so much good “I’m showing instead of sitting down and showing people that I’m actually making progress, but I guess it was all in vain,” his message continued.

Blunts claimed he won’t give up on improving his health “as long as you guys don’t give up on me.” He added that “this shit is hard.”

“This was an isolated incident that was not related to his weight, and he is actively working to improve his health,” Dave’s reps said in a statement to Complex.

The day after his performance at The Roxy, Blunts posted a photo of himself wearing a purple tracksuit that he threw into the crowd, marking the end of an era and the beginning of a new journey toward better health.

In December, Dave Blunts announced that his first headlining show was sold out. He also shared a video of himself rapping to his music, which he said was recorded right after he was discharged from the hospital. “First day out of the hospital,” he wrote alongside the post.

Complex caught up with the aspiring rapper last July in a conversation about his come-up, why he hates clubs and what’s next. You can find the conversation here.
