Because that’s the problem: people just don’t care! Well, despite the fact that I’ve always been more of a… Marvel movie gal, DC & Warner Bros.’ new Superman The trailer for 2025 completely blew me away.

It has so much life and color that previous adaptations made me feel like they were draining the life out of me out of of comics. And the best part? The film is led by the hottest guy ever Twister. No, not Glen Powell: David Corenswet! (Whose initials are DC…that’s how it should be!)

Who is the new Superman in 2025?

The new Superman film will be led by David Corenswet as Clark Kent/Superman Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor. We’ll also see Isabela Merced, Skyler Gisondo, Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, Nathan Fillion, Sara Sampaio, Pruitt Taylor Vince, María Gabriela de Faría, Wendell Pierce, Alan Tudyk and Neva Howell.

And honestly, David might be my favorite Superman yet! He has the adorable nerd quality that I always felt Henry Cavill lacked, but that doesn’t take away from his power. He also understands Superman inside and out.

“One of the things David said is that Superman wants kids not to be afraid of him,” writer-director James Gunn said on the film’s set (via Gizmodo). “He’s an alien. He has these incredible powers. He shoots beams from his eyes… He is incredibly powerful and could be considered scary. He wants people to like him. He wants to be a symbol of hope and positivity. That’s why he dresses like that.” He’s a professional wrestler and he dresses in a way that people aren’t afraid of him, which shows that hope and that positivity. And that really resonated with me.”

When does Superman appear?

Superman will be in cinemas on July 11, 2025 ;).

What is the new Superman movie about?

Superman 2025 will have many of the qualities you love about older Superman films, with an entirely new tone. According to Warner Bros., the film will have “a unique blend of epic action, humor and heart, depicting a Superman driven by compassion and an inherent belief in the goodness of humanity.” And that special blend of qualities and emotions is exactly that it’s what Superman is all about.

“There’s humor in it, but it’s trying to create something that’s based on Earth, but it’s also an incredibly imaginative world,” James continues. “It’s fantasy, it’s based on other things like…” game of Thrones where it’s this universe where superheroes actually exist. What are they like? There’s a magic there that can’t be denied.”

In the new trailer, we see a bloodied Superman FINALLY reunited with his dog Krypto, the hustle and bustle of the Daily Planet newsroom, Clark’s family farm in Smallville, and some butterfly-like kisses between Clark and Lois.
