Several months before the model Dayle Haddon died at the age of 76, she appeared next to her Blake Lively in one fashion Editorial shoot.

“What a wonderful time working with the brilliant @bazluhrmann on his version of the classic film, Catch a thief for the September issue of @voguemagazine,” Haddon wrote via Instagram in August. “A brilliant director and photographer, Baz, enthusiastic, creative, inclusive, it was so much fun working with him!!”

She continued: “I loved working alongside the absolutely adorable, funny and mischievous @blakelively. Not only is Blake beautiful inside and out, she is also extremely generous with fixing my dress during the shoot, adjusting my fabulous @cartier jewels (and) making sure I “shine” during the shoot!”

Haddon continued to praise fashion symbol Anna Wintour for “pulling this exciting project through” with all the “huge talent,” including Lively, 37, and Hugh Jackman.

Haddon died four months later, on Friday December 27th.

“The bright light that is Dayle has grown dimmer in this earthly realm. I have no doubt that she will shine as brightly as ever somewhere where she is needed most,” said Haddon’s daughter. Ryanwrote via Instagram. “She was a woman in her power, yet gentle and attentive to everyone. Deeply creative and curious, endowed with inner and outer beauty. Always friendly and attentive.”

The 53-year-old journalist added: “In conversation she was able to penetrate to the deepest depths and also rise to the highest heights of spiritual understanding. She upheld so many, seeing that their greatness was sometimes hidden from them, and always building bridges with her own connections to help them rise. She was everyone’s greatest champion. An inspiration for many.”

Ryan, whom Haddon shared with his ex-husband Glenn Souhamwent on to explain how she plans to honor her mother’s legacy in the future.

“I always trust the timing of things. There are no accidents and certainly the way we enter and exit this world is mystical and unknowable,” Ryan wrote in her upload. “She was a generous spiritual being who valued the development of her soul, so I know that her journey here in this dimension must be complete. I honor her. I bow to her. I adore all the paths and adventures I have taken. I saw that she was golden and always reaching for the light in all areas of her life.”

Ryan re-shared her post on her Instagram Story with the caption, “Rest in the light, mom.” So grateful for this beautiful life and to be her daughter in this life.”

Haddon was found unconscious inside Ryan and his husband Marc Blucas‘ Farmhouse in Pennsylvania after a suspected carbon monoxide leak. The police investigation is ongoing.
