A 76-year-old man, identified by police as Walter Blucas of Erie, was found semi-conscious on the first floor of a cottage home on the property. He remains in hospital in critical condition.

According to police, the CO leak was due to a defective chimney and an exhaust pipe from a gas heater.

Family members in the main house on the property were not affected.

Haddon rose to international fame in the 1970s, gracing the covers of fashion magazines.

She was featured in Vogue in August. She also starred in films and has been involved in numerous causes in recent years.

Real estate records show the home is owned by actor Marc Blucas and his wife, journalist and producer Ryan Haddon Blucas. They purchased the property in 2012 for $1 million.

On Friday evening, Haddon’s daughter Ryan paid tribute on Instagram: “She stood up to so many, saw that her greatness was sometimes hidden from them, and always used her own connections to build bridges to help them rise. “She was everyone’s biggest champion.” Inspiration to many.”

Sandy Linter, a well-known makeup artist and longtime friend of Dayle Haddon, was devastated when she learned the news.

“She was chic and elegant. She always remembered you. It was a tragic accident. I’m sorry. I’m so sorry for her family,” she said in an exclusive interview with Action News.

Two paramedics and a Twp from Solebury were taken to Doylestown Hospital for carbon monoxide exposure. The police officer was treated at the scene.

Fire officials want to remind the public that carbon monoxide is odorless, colorless and tasteless. It can be dangerous all year round, but especially in the colder months. They say prevention and detection are key.

“Prevention is about keeping your heaters, appliances, fireplaces, water heater and chimneys in good working order. Detection is about having a working, at least one working, carbon monoxide detector in the home,” said New Hope Eagle Fire Company Deputy Chief Mark Nissenfeld.
