December warmth continues this weekend, with cooler air next week

PHOENIX – December got off to a warm start, with daily highs about 10 degrees above average. This beautiful weather will continue throughout Arizona this weekend!

However, cooling is on the way with cool overnight lows. Although temperatures will gradually drop, our forecast remains mostly sunny and dry.

Tonight we expect trough lows in the mid to upper 40s. Highs will be above normal again Sunday afternoon in the low to mid 70s.

Another storm system will move to our north early next week, causing temperatures to drop significantly across the state and creating breezy to breezy conditions.

Here in the Valley, daily highs will fall into the upper 60s through Tuesday. Meanwhile, it will be quite chilly in the morning, with some areas here in the valley approaching the freezing mark Wednesday morning.

Then high pressure returns, bringing values ​​back into the 70s toward the middle to late next week.
