Dense fog warnings are again in effect for much of the state this morning. Visibility will be near zero in some locations, particularly in central Iowa, including the metropolitan area. Take a little extra time on the roads this morning and slow down if you encounter thick fog. Luckily the fog shouldn’t last as long as it did yesterday. We should see the fog clearing from west to east around 7-8am and the subway fog clearing around 8-9am. In northern and eastern Iowa, fog may linger until 10 a.m., but a strong southerly breeze will help the fog clear much more quickly compared to yesterday. Once the fog clears, the sun will return to most of the state.
