Derrick Henry breaks the Ravens’ franchise record against the Steelers after a great performance

Led by running back Derrick Henry, the Baltimore Ravens earned a big win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, 34-17, in their Week 16 contest on Saturday. The win now keeps the team tied at the top of the AFC North with two games left.

After a quiet performance from the Ravens last week, Henry was the engine of the team’s offense in the win. The four-time Pro Bowler rushed for 162 yards on 24 carries, good enough for 6.8 yards per carry.

Pittsburgh entered the contest with the No. 4 run defense in the NFL, but simply had no answer for the superstar running back who was making big gains all game long. Henry also added 27 receiving yards despite failing to find the end zone.

Still, Henry’s 162 yards rushing on Saturday broke the Ravens franchise record for most rushing yards in a single game against the Steelers, according to ESPN Stats & Info.

Henry’s impressive performance was a far cry from his Week 11 performance against the Steelers. In that game, Henry had just 65 yards on 13 carries. In Week 16, it took him a half to surpass that total after tallying 75 yards in the first two quarters.

While the Steelers have already secured a playoff spot, their ability to win the AFC North is now in jeopardy. Had Pittsburgh beaten Baltimore, head coach Mike Tomlin’s team would have won the division.

The Steelers will look to get back on track next week at home against the Kansas City Chiefs in a tough game. Meanwhile, the Ravens will face the Houston Texans on the road.
