Derrick Henry sets the Baltimore Ravens vs. Steelers record

The Baltimore Ravens defeated their arch-rival Pittsburgh Steelers today with a final score of 34-17. From start to finish, the Ravens took care of business.

With the win, Baltimore made the AFC North competitive again and also secured a spot in the playoffs.

Derrick Henry had another monster game for the Ravens. He ended up tearing through the Steelers’ defense for 24 carries and 162 yards. He also caught two passes for 27 yards.

With the performance he put together, he ultimately wrote franchise history.

As shared by Brooke Pryor of ESPNHenry’s 162 rushing yards are the most by a Baltimore player against Pittsburgh.

This is the type of performance the Ravens needed to have. Overall, they had an ups and downs season and needed a clear win. Beating the Steelers the way they did was an important statement.

Lamar Jackson also had a solid game. He completed 15 of his 23 pass attempts for 207 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. Jackson also collected 22 rushing yards.

The team performed well defensively. They sacked Russell Wilson three times and Marlon Humphrey intercepted a pass and returned it 37 yards for a touchdown.

Now the race for the AFC North gets interesting.

Both teams still have two games left and Baltimore has a much easier schedule. There’s a very real chance the Ravens end up coming all the way back and winning the AFC North.

Only time will tell, but this game completely changed the outlook for the season for both teams. There’s a lot to look forward to over the last two weeks and it will be interesting to see what happens in the end.

For now, Baltimore should be proud of its performance and head into the final two games and the playoffs with renewed energy.
