Description of the post-credits scene for Moana 2

Fans are wondering if Moana 2 has an ending, middle or post-credits scene. They are also curious about Matangi’s fate in the film’s mid-credits scene. In the story, Moana and Maui embark on a journey across the seas of Oceania and face a powerful new threat.

All your questions will be answered here.

Is there an ending, mid-credits or post-credits scene in Moana 2?

Moana 2 has a mid-credits scene.

The mid-credits scene finally reveals the storm god Nalo to the audience. Nalo was an invisible but looming presence for much of the film, as the film’s main antagonist, Matangi, worked for him. Nalo is shown to be frustrated that Moana has reversed the curse he placed on the sea, whereupon he vows revenge on her for foiling his plans.

The mid-credits scene also brings back Tamatoa, one of the original film’s main antagonists. He allies himself with Nalo and Matangi and expresses his desire to get revenge on Moana and Maui for tricking him in the previous film.

So Moana and Maui would face off against three villains in Moana 3.

What happens to Matangi in Moana 2 mid-credits scene?

In the mid-credits scene of Moana 2, Matangi is shown bound by lightning and under Nalo’s mind control.

Towards the end of the film, Matangi decides to secretly help Moana, Maui and their allies by sending them into the ghost-filled seas to raise Motufenu. Matangi had done this because she believed she would be freed from Nalo’s influence after the curse that hung over the ocean was lifted.

But while Moana successfully lifted the curse, Matangi unfortunately fell back into Nalo’s thrall.

Moana 2 is currently in theaters. The film is directed by Dana Ledoux Miller, Jason Hand and David G. Derrick Jr. The voice cast includes Auli’i Cravalho, Dwayne Johnson, Hualalai Chung and Rose Matafeo.
