Details emerge about murder suspect Luigi Mangione, CEO of UnitedHealthcare

Luigi Mangione Arrested and Charged with Murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO: What Happens Now?

Luigi Mangione, the former Ivy League student who was arrested and charged Monday in Pennsylvania in connection with the apparent murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in New York City last week, likely won’t be extradited for several days.

Mangione, 26, was arrested by the Altoona Police Department in Pennsylvania around 9:15 a.m. Monday after a McDonald’s manager recognized him in the area. Four fake IDs, a gun and a silencer similar to those used in the shooting, and a manifesto against the health insurance industry were found on him.

Members of the FBI and NYPD, including New York City Deputy Commissioner for Community Operations Kaz Daughtry, arrived at the station a few hours after Mangione’s arrest. Members of the New York District Attorney’s Office also arrived, Fox News Digital confirmed.

According to a police criminal complaint, Mangione was charged with forgery, prohibiting the carrying of firearms without a license, tampering with records or identification, possession of instruments of crime and false identification to law enforcement.

Although his arrest was “peaceful,” according to Altoona police, Mangione did not speak to interrogators and was placed in a holding cell.

“The suspect didn’t say a word. He refused to talk,” a law enforcement source told Fox News Digital.
