The Lions responded to the Bills’ touchdown with a play-action touchdown pass to backup offensive tackle Dan Skipper after he came on as the sixth blocker in the red zone. Goff faked the handoff to Jahmyr Gibbs and threw to a wide-open skipper in the flat for his first career touchdown catch.

The Lions converted a fourth-and-4 with a 21-yard completion over the middle to Amon-Ra St. Brown to keep the drive alive and get back within a score. Skipper joins Taylor Decker and Scott Conover as Lions offensive linemen who caught a touchdown pass. The touchdown brought the Lions back within one score and currently trails the Bills 21-14 before halftime.

The Lions have already used Skipper as a wide receiver this season and used him at wide receiver in the blowout win over the Dallas Cowboys. Detroit also devised a trick play for an offensive lineman pass when right tackle Penei Sewell attempted a pass in the first quarter on Thanksgiving against the Chicago Bears.
