Did Colts running back fumble? You make the call

DENVER – Colts running back Jonathan Taylor made one of the worst mistakes of his career in his team’s biggest game of the season.

Early in the second half, Taylor was given a huge opportunity by Samuel Womack III’s interception, eventually breaking free and running what looked like a 41-yard touchdown run that would give Indianapolis a two-score lead.

But as Taylor approached the goal line, he let the ball fall from his hands, and after the play was replayed, it was determined that he let go of the ball before breaking the plane, and scored six points on a 40-yard run and one Touchback converted.

The NFL replay booth reviewed Taylor’s run and concluded he dropped it before reaching the end zone. The ball was obscured by Taylor’s body in the camera angle most often shown in the stadium, but CBS showed an angle from the other side.
