Diddy allegedly uttered these chilling words before he and Jay-Z raped the 13-year-old: complaint

Sean “Diddy” Combs and Jay-Z are accused in a civil lawsuit of raping a 13-year-old girl at an afterparty for the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards – and before the alleged incident, the victim claimed Combs had uttered shocking words about it stayed with her to this day.

In an amended civil complaint obtained by PEOPLE, one woman identified only as Jane Doe claims she was raped by Combs, now 55, and Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, also now 55, while one is not named said female celebrity watched partying at a New York residence. (The first complaint, which did not mention Jay-Z by name, was filed in October.)

According to the complaint, the accuser was invited to the afterparty by a limo driver who claimed to work for Combs and told her that the mogul liked younger girls and “fit what Diddy was looking for.” She previously claimed she tried to get into the VMAs by standing outside Radio City Music Hall and walking toward limousines that were taking guests into the venue.

The plaintiff, who was 13 at the time of the alleged incident, said that when she arrived at the afterparty she was asked to sign a nondisclosure agreement and was later given what she believes to be a drink was on drugs, the lawsuit says.

The plaintiff said she was later approached by Combs, who had a “crazy look in his eyes” and allegedly told her, “You’re ready to party!” according to the complaint.

The accuser further alleged that Combs then threw her against a wall, causing her to fall. She stood up and “stumbled,” causing Combs to grab her again and “throw her onto the bed,” the complaint says.

The complaint alleges that Jay-Z then removed the accuser’s clothing and held her while he raped her while both Combs and the female celebrity watched, the complaint states. “After Carter was finished,” the accuser claims she was then raped by Combs while Jay-Z and the female celebrity watched, the lawsuit says.

The unnamed Jane Doe is seeking unspecified damages. Her attorney, Tony Buzbee, previously announced that he represents more than 100 people who have accused Combs of misconduct.

The amended complaint was filed on Sunday, December 8, and bears the name Jay-Z, referring to his 1-year-old daughter Blue Ivy and twins Rumi and Sir, 7, all of whom he shares with his wife Beyoncé.

“My only sorrow is for my family,” he said. “My wife and I will have to sit down with our children, one of whom is of the age when their friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims and explain people’s cruelty and greed.”

The rapper added: “I mourn another loss of my innocence.”

“Jay-Z Deserves to Know Accuser’s Identity”: Submission

In a new court filing obtained by PEOPLE, Jay-Z’s attorney Alex Spiro asked the federal court in New York to dismiss the case entirely and have the accuser’s name released.

“Mr. Carter deserves to know the identity of the person who is accusing him – in a sensationalistic and high-profile manner – of criminal conduct, seeking massive financial compensation and tarnishing a reputation built over decades,” the filing says.

It added: “This campaign was cynical and designed to force the payment of an exorbitant sum of money – the defendant would have to pay X million dollars, regardless of the truth, or this would have happened,” Spiro wrote in the court filing.

“When the defendant refused to pay and instead took steps to prove his innocence, this unnamed plaintiff and her self-representing attorney (whose name appeared in headlines and press conferences under the guise of representing her) went to extraordinary lengths to to prevent a fair defense. But these efforts also failed,” the file continues.

Combs’ lawyers also disputed the plaintiff’s allegations in a statement to PEOPLE.

“This amended statement of claim and the recent extortion lawsuit against Mr. Buzbee expose his barrage of lawsuits against Mr. Combs for what they are: shameless publicity stunts designed to coerce payments from celebrities who fear lies are being spread about them, that is “However, lies have been spread over and over again about Mr. Combs,” the statement said.

“As his legal team has previously stated, Mr. Combs has full confidence in the facts and integrity of the legal process,” the statement continued. “The truth will prevail in court: that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted or sexually assaulted anyone – man or woman, adult or minor.”

Combs has been behind bars since his arrest in September at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn on federal charges including sex trafficking, extortion and solicitation for prostitution. He pleaded not guilty and was refused bail three times.

A previous indictment against Combs focuses on alleged “freak-offs,” which authorities say were elaborate sex acts involving male sex workers and women who were coerced or coerced into participating.

His trial is expected to begin in May 2025.
