DNC fundraiser says Democrats have a “loser stench” in the party after losing to Trump

Lindy Li, a member of the DNC’s National Finance Committee, said the Democratic Party has been so weakened by President-elect Donald Trump’s victory that it has the stench of a “loser.”

“I think, unfortunately, the whole stench of losers has gone to the Democratic Party,” Li, a prominent party fundraiser, said on “Fox & Friends Weekend.”

Major tech leaders like Google CEO Sundar Pichai, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg have all either met with Trump or, in Altman’s case, made donations directly to Trump’s inaugural committee after his election victory.

DNC National Finance Committee member Lindy Li said the Democratic Party was weakened by President-elect Trump’s victory over Vice President Kamala Harris.

Amazon plans to donate $1 million Trump’s inauguration Fund. Altman also donated $1 million to Trump’s inauguration fund, while Zuckerberg announced similar plans to strengthen his ties with the president-elect.

“Speaking as a Democrat myself, I take no pleasure in saying this. “I have a feeling the Democrats are going to be relegated to the wilderness for at least the next four to eight years, and Jeff Bezos is probably thanking his lucky stars for withholding this confirmation,” Li said. “They’re doing everything now, to continue the relaxation.”

Shortly before Election Day this year, Bezos ended his endorsement of the president by The Washington Post, which he had purchased in 2013. The decision angered some liberal staffers and reporters who were eager to put the paper’s official position behind Vice President Kamala Harris.

When asked about the tech industry’s overall reaction to Trump’s victory, Li said she was pleased with his new administration.

“I think the tech world is excited about the fact that Donald Trump is going to be the next president,” Li said. “He’s really excited about crypto. He says he wants the United States to be the crypto capital of the world.”

Li also spoke about the increasing unpopularity of key Democratic Party policies, including combating illegal immigration, saying voters are “fed up” with Democrats.

“I speak as an immigrant,” Li said. “For immigrants like me who have become naturalized Americans, proud and grateful Americans, it is extremely disturbing that people are just pouring into the country like that.”

Zuckerberg visited Trump at Mar-a-Lago in early December to strengthen his ties with the president-elect as he prepares to take office in January.
