“Dolphins-Browns game postponed outside of prime time.”

On Tuesday, the National Football League announced that the Miami Dolphins’ Week 17 game at Cleveland on Sunday, December 29th has been postponed to a late afternoon game.

The game was originally scheduled to air on NBC Football on Sunday evenings. Instead, the Dolphins will kick off in Cleveland at 4:05 a.m. EDT NFL on CBS.

The Dolphins and Browns didn’t have the success they originally predicted when they put together their schedules. Both teams played well below average. Both teams were represented in the playoffs last season with wild cards and showed a lot of success.

The Dolphins are currently 6-8 on the season and are two games behind the Los Angeles Chargers for the final playoff spot with three games left. The Browns check in at 3-11 and are currently playing out the string,

The Atlanta Falcons, who travel to Washington, DC to take on the Commanders, will be featured in the night game on NBC.

The NFL also announced that the Indianapolis Colts-New York Giants game will be televised on FOX at 1:00 p.m. EDT.

NFL Network will present a triple-header game on Saturday: the Los Angeles Chargers at the New England Patriots at 1:00 p.m. EDT, the Denver Broncos at the Cincinnati Bengals at 4:30 p.m. EDT and the Arizona Cardinals at Los Angeles Rams at 8:00 a.m. EDT.

After the Cleveland game, Miami closes out its regular season with an away game against the New York Jets. The game could take place on either Saturday, January 4th, or the final Sunday afternoon of the regular season, January 5th.

The NFL has also decided against removing this Sunday’s Dolphins-49ers game from the national doubleheader slot at 4:25 p.m. EDT, despite both teams’ 6-8 records. CBS first team Jim Nantz and Tony Romo will be in attendance for the game.
