Drake London reaches 1,000 yards for the first time in his career

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. – Drake London reached 1,000 receiving yards in a single season for the first time in his career on Sunday.

In the second quarter, the third-year receiver caught a 14-yard pass from quarterback Michael Penix Jr., reaching the milestone. It was London’s second reception of the evening against the Washington Commanders. He needed 22 yards before the start of the game to reach 1,000 yards total.

London came close to reaching that mark in his second year, but finished the 2023 season with 905 yards after rushing for 866 yards in his rookie season. Entering Week 17, only 11 wide receivers reached triple-digit receiving yards. London ranked 17th among wideouts with 978 yards rushing entering the game.

On his march to 1,000 yards, London has had five games with at least 70 receiving yards. He rushed for a career-high 154 yards in Atlanta’s Week 5 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
