Dua Lipa revives the Royal Albert Hall concert with a new live album

Dua Lipa took her career to new levels this year. After releasing their third album Radical optimism In May she gave her first-ever concert at Wembley Stadium and in October she performed her music with an orchestra at another legendary London venue: the Royal Albert Hall. Now their millions of fans around the world can experience the night’s music as if they were there themselves.

Dua Lipa Live at the Royal Albert Hall is the singer’s first live album and contains magnificent symphonic reinterpretations of the biggest hits from her discography such as “Levitating”, “Dance the Night Away” and “Don’t Start Now” as well as the Radical optimism Album in its entirety. By creating new versions of these songs, Lipa dispels the idea that pop stars can’t make instrumentally rich music. “As an artist you always face some kind of resistance, if you don’t have, like, a guitar or a piano, they’re just like, ‘Oh, she can’t sing.'” “Oh, it’s all processed,” she continued 60 minutes in September. “I just think there’s just a stigma around pop music.”

Lipa just wrapped up the Asia leg of her Radical Optimism Tour on December 5th. When reflecting on where she is today and where she will go in the future, the Grammy winner acknowledged that a lot has changed in the years since she burst onto the pop music scene.

“I’m definitely not the person I was when I wrote my first album. I have evolved and learned so much… to take everything as it comes, not to see anything as bad or as a setback. This includes developing and understanding myself, knowing my worth, be it in business, love or friendship,” she said Time Earlier this year. “I have different thoughts, desires, needs and perspectives. I’ve done a 180 degree turnaround in myself…I feel the most confident at this point in my life.”

The Radical Optimism Tour continues March 17, 2025 in Melbourne, Australia and ends October 16 in Seattle.
