While taking a break before embarking on the Oceania leg of her Radical Optimism Tour, Dua Lipa was spotted in New York City this morning, where she announced a few new rules for dressing this season.

The “Houdini” singer has been switching up her style directions in recent weeks, alternating between edgy rocker styles and flirtier fall pieces, but with this latest look, she kept things mostly casual and added a statement piece to complete the entire look .

As she entered the CBS studio, Lipa was seen wearing a black and gray striped sweater, which she paired with regular wash jeans. But forget about the bootcut, because Lipa chose to tuck the jeans into her knee-high black boots, which were ruffled and had high heels. To match her footwear, Lipa also carried a quilted black Chanel bag that was covered in pockets and featured a gold chain that matched the logo hardware.

It was an overall low-key look for the singer, but Lipa still managed to add some oomph to her coat – a large snakeskin trench coat that gave the fit a mob-woman touch (and where better to do that than the Big Apple?).

Lipa visited the studio to preview her new TV special. An evening with Dua Lipawhich premieres in the US on December 15th. Viewers can watch the event live on CBS or stream it via Paramount+. Lipa will certainly have some stylistic surprises in store.
