Each unique Battle Pass skin

Each unique Battle Pass skin

With a new Fortnite season comes a new Battle Pass, and there are always plenty of goodies in store. Fortnite Remix gifted us with a shorter Battle Pass, but this time we have it back in full length with seven unique skins and a secret skin that will unlock in a few weeks. Additionally, the star system previously used to unlock rewards has been changed this time and we have a more traditional reward progression instead.

Here’s a full breakdown of all the skins in the Chapter 6, Season 1 Battle Pass. If you’re interested in seeing what else is new this season, check out our full breakdown Fortnite v33.00 patch notes for a full breakdown of everything.

Nyanja / Epic Games

Unlocked as soon as you purchase the Battle Pass, Nyanja is an eye-catching skin as it appears to be a cat person who is also a bit of a teenage slacker. Still, their name suggests that they’ve at least partially completed their ninja training, so perhaps there’s more to this character than meets the eye.

Jade / Epic Games

So far we are two ninjas and neither of us has understood the concept of using dark colors to stay hidden. Then again, when has Fortnite ever opted for dark colors? Instead, Jade stands out with bright cyan hair and jackets underneath which she wears traditional samurai armor, which I don’t think is particularly good against bullets, but it’s worth checking out.

Kendo / Epic Games

This Ronin also seems to favor bright colors, with a lovely red top that ties into this season’s theme of combining these traditional Japanese touchstones with modern styles. I can’t quite figure out what kind of bottles he has on his hip. Traditional wisdom says they’re probably smoke bombs or something similar, but I just conclude that they look like pickles.

Shadow Blade Hope / Epic Games

Hope has essentially been the main character of Fortnite since the start of Chapter 5, and it seems like she’s not going anywhere in Chapter 6 as she gets a brand new skin that equips her with ninja gear. At least she understood the task and chose a darker shade of blue for her outfit, although the same cannot be said for the purple alternative style.

Daigo / Epic Games

I’m not entirely sure where Daigo fits in the pantheon of traditional Japanese units, but perhaps that’s the point. He is only described as a “man of a thousand faces” and he is the only one who managed to dress all in black. Except for the creepy, cracked mask that hides his face.

Hero Baymax / Epic Games

You might think that a futuristic superhero who uses something like nanotechnology to heal wounds would go against the theme of this Fortnite season, but someone Baymax just fits the bill, especially when you see his alternate samurai outfit.

The Night Rose / Epic Games

The Night Rose seems set up to be the main antagonist this season, and it’s easy to see why. This demon warrior has fearsome powers and looks the part, with her modified traditional clothing combined with her dark eyes and long horns, giving her a disturbing appearance.

Godzilla Evolved / Epic Games

Godzilla is the secret skin for this Fortnite season and I can’t be the only one who thinks Gozilla falls a little into uncanny valley territory with human proportions. However, these skins will be unlockable mid-season, likely through completing unique quests, which we will cover when they are released.
