Eddie Murphy is making demands on his Hollywood colleague Martin Lawrence ahead of the wedding of the actor’s two children.

Eric Murphy and Jasmin Lawrence, Murphy’s son and Lawrence’s daughter, just announced their engagement.

On November 30, the couple, who have been together since 2021, shared footage of the marriage proposal. In a shared Instagram post set to Eric Benét’s “Spend My Life With You,” Eric popped the question in a room filled with white roses, candles, and an orange heart-shaped light.

Although a date for the wedding has not been publicly announced, it appears that Lawrence will have to foot the bill for the big day.

Speaking Thursday on iHeartRadio The Big Boy’s Neighborhood The Bad boys Star said, “Well, Eddie said I have to pay for it.”

Lawrence added: “He said I have to pay for it because he paid for his last daughter’s wedding – like the last six weddings – but he said now it’s my turn.”

The Big Mama’s house The actor is the father of three children, all daughters, from relationships with Patricia Southall and Shamicka Gibbs. Murphy, on the other hand, has ten children in numerous relationships, most notably with Spice Girls singer Mel B.

Eric and Jasmin announced their relationship in June 2021. Their fathers starred alongside each other for the first time in the 1992 romantic comedy boomerangbefore appearing together again in 1999 Life. They are rumored to be teaming up again for a remake of It’s a crazy, crazy, crazy, crazy world.

In 2022, Jasmine revealed InTouch that it was actually her uncle who introduced her to Eric.

“It wasn’t even our fathers, and they did two films together,” she said at the time. “They are friends. I don’t even know. It’s crazy. But we met through my uncle and became really good friends. We bonded on many things. Obviously we have similar backgrounds, so we understood each other on some level.”
