Edgerrin Cooper and Romeo Doubs help dagger the Seahawks on SNF

An interception by Edgerrin Cooper and an incredible touchdown catch by Romeo Doubs helped the Green Bay Packers claim victory over the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday night at Lumen Field.

Cooper made his first career interception just two plays after Josh Jacobs was stuffed on fourth down and the Packers led 23-13. Three plays later, Jordan Love found Doubs for a 22-yard touchdown that required a difficult sliding catch in the end zone to give the Packers a 30-13 lead with just under five minutes left.

The Packers led 20-3 at halftime and had several opportunities to extend the lead in the second half, but a fumble by Jacobs set up a rushing touchdown by Zach Charbonnet and the Seahawks had several chances to tie the score late.

But without Geno Smith, the Seahawks had no answer. Cooper undercut a throw over the middle and returned the interception to the Seahawks’ 27-yard line, and Love and Doubs did the rest on third down.

Cooper, returning from a hamstring injury, produced a sack, an interception, a pass breakup and two quarterback hits. Doubs, who returned from a concussion wearing a Guardian cap, caught three passes for 40 yards and two scores.

The Packers’ defense produced seven sacks, ten tackles for loss, six passes defensed and twelve quarterback hits. Love completed 20 of 27 passes for 229 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions, for a passer rating of 123.8. Jacobs totaled 136 yards and a touchdown.

The Packers won in Seattle for the first time since 2008. Next Monday evening they host the New Orleans Saints at Lambeau Field.
