Tech titan Elon Musk will now be known as “Kekius Maximus” on X, and he has also replaced his profile picture with the popular “Pepe the Frog” meme. Musk’s profile picture shows Pepe dressed as a warrior and holding a video game joystick.

Musk, known for his bizarre antics and posts on X, gave no reason for the sudden name change. However, he recently posted about the meme coin Kekius Maximus, which has caught the attention of investors in the cryptocurrency market.

Meme coins are cryptocurrencies inspired by internet memes or trends. A few years ago, Musk made the Shiba Inu-inspired Dogecoin a popular player in the meme coin market after frequently tweeting about it.

Although there is no such character named Kekius Maximus, he is based on the fusion of the popular character “Pepe the Frog” with the character Maximus from the movie “Gladiator”. Maximus was a Roman general and his role was played by Russell Crowe in the 2000 film.

“Pepe the Frog,” infamously used by alt-right groups in the US, is mostly viewed as a hate symbol.
