Elon Musk’s response to MAGA supporters as H-1B visa debate escalates

Elon Musk made his not-so-polite verdict amid the ongoing online debate over H-1B visa and immigration reform. In a heated exchange with a suspected Donald Trump supporter, the Tesla boss dropped the “F-word” as debate over immigration policy continues to divide Republican lawmakers and Republican voters. The billionaire was responding to a clip of him shared on X (formerly Twitter) in which he discussed the limits of education and concluded that one shouldn’t “optimize something that shouldn’t exist.”

However, after a user named Steve Mackey used Mr. Musk’s words to push anti-H1-B rhetoric, the X boss stepped in with a fiery response.

“The reason I am in America along with so many critical people who built SpaceX, Tesla and hundreds of other companies that have made America strong is because of H1B,” Mr. Musk wrote.

“Take a big step back and fuck yourself in the face. I will go to war on this issue that you cannot possibly imagine,” he added.

After being lectured by Mr. Musk, the user tried to calm the situation by claiming that we were the SpaceX boss’s biggest fan

“There seems to be a lot of confusion about this interaction. Personally, I am the biggest Elon fan on the planet and always will be. I am also capable of disagreeing with people I deeply respect and admire,” the user wrote.

“Remove them, root and stem.”

Notably, Mr. Musk stated before the exchange that “hateful, unrepentant racists” should be removed “root and branch” from the Republican Party.

Mr. Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, the co-heads of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) under Trump’s soon-to-be-inaugurated Cabinet, are fighting for legal immigration through H1-B visas, while allies like Laura Loomer have opened a front calling for a ban on any Immigration.

After Scott Adams, creator of the comic strip Dilbert, posted that MAGA Republicans were now “telling Democrats how to lose elections and feel good about it,” Mr. Musk joined in the response.

“Yes. And these despicable fools must be removed from the Republican Party by any means necessary,” the X owner wrote, agreeing with Mr. Adams.

The tech billionaire has long argued that the U.S. needs the best talent from abroad to come to America and innovate. But his stance puts him at odds with hard-line Republicans who fear American jobs are being taken over by outsiders.
