Everything about the relationship between Sean Hannity and Ainsley Earhardt

Sean Hannity and Ainsley Earhardt have confirmed their relationship with personal messages.

In 2020, a source told PEOPLE that the Fox News hosts were quietly dating. Four years later, Hannity and Earhardt announced their engagement on December 26th.

“We are overjoyed and so grateful to our families for all their love and support during this wonderful time in our lives,” they told Fox News.

The TV personalities were both previously married. Hannity and his ex-wife Jill Rhodes divorced in 2019 after more than 20 years of marriage. Earhardt and her ex-husband Will Proctor married in 2012 and divorced in 2019.

A year later, Earhardt opened up to PEOPLE about a possible remarriage. “I would like to find love again and one day want to demonstrate a loving relationship with Hayden (her daughter),” she said.

They are hosts of Fox News

Hannity and Earhardt have worked for Fox News for decades. Hannity started at the station’s founding in 1996, hosting its commentary program. Hannity, since 2009.

Earhardt began working on morning and weekend shows in 2007. Nine years later she was promoted, replacing Elisabeth Hasselbeck Fox & friends.

“I’m so excited every day to wake up America,” she told PEOPLE in March 2016. “This is the best time of my life.” It just keeps getting better.”

During an interview with PEOPLE in October 2019, Earhardt spoke about her experiences working at Fox. “I’m just overwhelmed that I got a big job in New York City with my dream of a little girl,” she said.

Earhardt continued, “The most significant parts of my life…happened while I was working at Fox.”

They dated quietly for “years” before announcing it publicly

In June 2020, a source close to the couple confirmed to PEOPLE that the Fox News stars had been seeing each other “very secretly for years.”

“He is very private because he is very famous and very controversial, but it is an open secret that they have been seeing each other,” the source said.

Earhardt reportedly rented a house near Hannity’s home during the COVID-19 pandemic and recorded in his home studio.

The source revealed, “They’re together all the time, but privately… for years, not just months.” They added that Hannity and Earhardt have been seen “flirting after hours” and dating each other “making ourselves comfortable in the back of a New York bar.”

After the news broke, they denied their romantic connection. In a statement from a spokesperson, Hannity said, “I do not discuss my personal life in public.”

Meanwhile, Earhardt said in a statement from a network spokesperson, “Right now I’m focused on raising my daughter and not dating anyone.” As anyone at Fox News will tell you, Sean is a wonderful person and whoever he chooses to date Date decides he will be very lucky.”

Hannity and Earhardt complimented each other

In October 2021, Hannity performed Fox & friends to celebrate Fox News’ 25th anniversary. Although Hannity and Earhardt neither confirmed nor denied their relationship during the segment, it seemed to hint at a special connection.

When one of the hosts, Brian Kilmeade, asked Hannity if he had a favorite Fox & friends Moderator, Earhardt chimed in. “Yes, he does,” she said. Hannity replied, “It’s a thing between Steve (Doocy) and Ainsley for sure.”

Later in the conversation, she also talked about Hannity. “He’s the most generous person,” Earhardt said. “You’re just a really good person, Sean, and you’ve helped all of us in our careers.”

Hannity replied, “It’s nice to say that.”

In December 2019, Hannity was a guest on Earhardt’s program, Ainsley’s Bible Study. On the show, the host “talks to guests from all walks of life about faith, family, trials and triumphs,” according to Fox Nation.

During his appearance, Hannity spoke openly about the role Christianity plays in his life. “My faith has actually gotten stronger as I’ve gotten older,” he explained. “I would say I realize more than ever that I not only need God, but I want him.”

Later, Earhardt shared words about his on-air work.

“You know, you’re very good on your show at saying, ‘I’m not perfect.’ I need God. “I made a lot of mistakes,” she said. “And I think people love that about you.”

They traveled together

In August 2019, Hannity and Earhardt attended their colleagues’ wedding together and arrived together in Hannity’s helicopter Vanity Fair.

They took that Hannity Host chopper to Trump National Golf Course in Colts Neck, New Jersey, where Fox & friends Weekend host Pete Hegseth and Fox producer Jennifer Rauchet have tied the knot.

The wedding was reportedly not the first time the couple enjoyed a helicopter ride together. PEOPLE’s source noted that “he has taken her on vacation in his helicopter many times.”

They were photographed on excursions

Three years after the romance rumors first surfaced, the Daily Mail received several photos of Hannity and Earhardt that appeared to be dating.

The duo was photographed posing with corn on the cob at Oyster Fest 2022 on Long Island. In another picture from January 2023, they were at a Waffle House in South Carolina.

Hannity and Earhardt announced their engagement in December 2024

During Christmas week, Hannity proposed to Earhardt at a local church in Florida.

The couple told Fox News that they initially bonded over their shared religious beliefs and thought church was “the perfect place” to get engaged.

According to the outlet, they have had long-distance relationships between Florida, where Hannity lives, and New York, where Earhardt works.

The hosts also shared that they are “still on good terms” with their ex-spouses and that they “made them aware early on that this was happening.”

Hannity and Earhardt also received the blessing and support of their children: Hannity has two children, Patrick and Merri, with ex-wife Rhodes, and Earhardt has a daughter, Hayden, with ex-husband Proctor.
