If you are a movie lover and enjoy your binge watching sessions, you must have an Amazon Prime subscription. If you don’t, your friend must have one and you would ride pillion or vice versa. But I have some news to share with you that you might not like. Amazon is changing its policies and terms of service. Starting January 2025, Prime members will have new limits on the number of TVs they can use with a single account.

Currently, Prime members can stream on up to five devices with no device type restrictions. According to an official email from Amazon, users will still be able to stream Prime Video on up to five devices. The catch, however, is that out of the five devices, only two of these devices can be a television. If you want to add more TVs to your plan, you’ll need to purchase a separate subscription.

Under the new terms, while restrictions will apply to televisions, users will still be able to access content on smartphones, tablets and laptops at no additional cost. Amazon has also made it easy for users to manage their devices through Prime Video’s settings page, where they can add or remove devices associated with their account. This used to be a problem.

In its message to members, Amazon thanked users for their loyalty and highlighted the platform’s popular titles such as Mirzapur, Panchayat, Citadel, Stree 2 and Kalki 2898 AD. The company also announced a number of new series and films scheduled for release in 2025.

Let’s see how Amazon users take this. Previously, we saw that users were disappointed with the Rent a Movie feature.
