Former Juventus midfielder Alessio Tacchinardi warns Thiago Motta and the Bianconeri that “time is up” as they need to prove they are “obsessed” with winning.

Juventus will face Milan in the Supercoppa semi-finals this evening.

Former Juventus midfielder Tacchinardi won the trophy several times during his playing career in Turin.

“The best was certainly 2003. We played in a sold-out stadium in the US with lots of Juventus fans and, most importantly, we beat Milan,” Tacchinardi told Gazzetta.

“It was a little revenge after the disappointment in the Champions League final a few months earlier. This Supercoppa didn’t heal the wound, but it was a chance for redemption.”

Speaking about the upcoming clash between Bianconeri and Rossoneri, Tacchinardi said: “Juventus are definitely aiming for a result in a game like this. “It’s in or out. Time is up. Now the Bianconeri must understand that it is time to be practical.

“You get the feeling that this Juventus team still lacks the will to win. Milan is to be discovered; Conceiçao only arrived a few days ago.”

Juventus is undefeated in Serie A but has suffered 11 draws in 18 games. Asked whether he preferred Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic or Milan’s Alvaro Morata, Tacchinardi replied: “I would keep Vlahovic, he is more of a center forward and has already scored 12 goals this season.”

“I expect him to be crucial in the Supercoppa. I will rely on him and Yildiz, who can cause problems for Milan with his skills. I wish Kenan and Dusan would lead Juventus to win the trophy.”
