Falcons at Commanders Game Recap: 2nd Quarter Summary – At halftime the Falcons lead 17-7

On the next play, Brian Robinson finally broke through with a 12-yard run right up the middle, followed by a 7-yard gain to the right after taking a direct snap.

The Commanders had a new set of downs at the Falcons’ 39-yard line, near field goal range. Two plays later, it was 3rd-and-3 at the 33-yard line, with shouts of “Terry…Terry…Terry” clearly heard on the broadcast.

Bijan Robinson returned and scored 17 yards on the next two carries for 1st-and-10 at the 28-yard line. The defense must be strengthened here.

Patterson hooked the ball, but it went through the uprights, extending the Falcons’ lead.

The score was 17-7 with 2 seconds left in the half. The scoring drive took 8 plays and covered 51 yards.
