Families need help finding a teenage girl and young woman who disappeared in Miami-Dade

MIAMI — Two families are concerned about the whereabouts of a teenage girl and a young woman who disappeared in November in Miami-Dade County.

Investigators with the Miami-Dade Police Department’s Special Victims Bureau asked for the public’s help in finding them. The cases are unrelated, but both require assistance, police said.

Relatives last saw Angélica Guadalupe Mayorga Rivera at 11 p.m. on Nov. 1 near the 3000 block of Northwest 10 Avenue in northwest Miami-Dade. She is 16 and will turn 17 on December 14th. She weighs about 180 pounds and is about 5 feet tall. She has dark brown hair and brown eyes.

Relatives last saw Marilyn Giselle Watson. also known as Marilym, around 5:25 a.m. on November 28 in Miami-Dade wearing a pink or fuchsia sports bra top, white pants and high heels. She is 24 years old, weighs around 50 kilograms and is around 1.70 meters tall. A misdemeanor case for alleged domestic violence is pending in court against her.

District court records show prosecutors filed misdemeanor domestic violence cases following arrests on Oct. 19 and Nov. 15 in Miami-Dade. Prosecutors dropped the case in October after ordering her to stay away from the victim. She was released on $2,000 bail on Nov. 28 after a judge ordered her to stay away from the victim. The court has scheduled an arraignment hearing for 9:30 a.m. Dec. 18 with Miami-Dad County District Judge Alicia Garcia Priovolos.

Investigators said both Angélica and Watson may need help and asked anyone with information about missing people to call 911, the SV office at 305-715-3300 or Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477. to remain anonymous.
