All 10 midweek Premier League games will be available to watch live on Amazon Prime around Christmas.

Fans all agree on Amazon Prime’s coverage of Manchester City vs Everton.

City host Everton at the Etihad Stadium in the first of eight Boxing Day games, with Liverpool taking on Leicester in the final game of the day from 8pm.

As has become tradition in recent years, Amazon Prime is showing all ten festive events. Coverage begins at 11.30am this morning and continues for the remainder of Boxing Day.

Jeff Stelling will also host his own goals show, with Chris Kamara giving fans a popular early Christmas present by announcing he will be at the City Ground to cover Nottingham Forest’s game against Tottenham as part of the show.

It’s Amazon Prime’s second full Premier League schedule this month, with the streaming giant once again sending different teams of presenters and commentators to each pitch.

Each game will feature experts who have some connection to the two teams playing, while fans will also be able to hear from commentators such as Clive Tyldesley and Jon Champion – neither of whom work for Sky Sports or TNT Sports.

The presentation style and reporting in general are well received by fans – and they are once again full of praise on social media.

One wrote: “I’m really enjoying Amazon Prime’s football coverage.”

A second added: “Amazon Prime just needs to buy all the rights to Prem, this is incredibly good.”

A third said: “Hurry up and buy the rights to the property.”

However, sadly for viewers, this week’s Premier League games will be the last shown by Amazon Prime for the next five years, despite the streaming giant’s popularity.

The league announced in December 2023 that it had agreed a record domestic rights deal worth £6.7 billion, with Sky Sports to show at least 215 Premier League games per season.

TNT Sports, on the other hand, will show 52 games per season under the agreement, which runs until the end of the 2028/29 season.

PA claims that the reasons for Amazon Prime’s decision not to bid for the rights include the composition of the packages and “the difficulty of leveraging a high-volume premium model within their Prime subscription service.”
