FC Barcelona prodigy Lamine Yamal makes a confession while controlling doping tests

This was revealed by FC Barcelona prodigy Lamine Yamal Movistar that he “peed while I was playing” in the Champions League against Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday, adding that “that’s why they didn’t let me do anti-doping controls after his MVP masterclass at the Westfalenstadion.”

With his best performance since recovering from an ankle sprain and perhaps his best individual performance in Europe so far in his short but storied career, Lamine helped Barca climb to second place in the UCL league stage – and set themselves up for another place huge cash injection – providing a sensational assist for Ferran Torres to score the winner in a 3-2 thriller.

During a brilliant counterattack in the 85th minute, Lamine could easily have waited a second or two to play a diagonal pass to Fermin Lopez, who also had a realistic chance to score.

Instead, the 17-year-old played a brilliant pass behind the defensive line, which Ferran connected and then fired into the goal to secure three points.

“I get on very well with Ferran. The same was the other day against (Real) Betis in Sevilla,” said Lamine about his understanding with “The Shark”.

Ferran, who scored a brace in North Rhine-Westphalia, was so pleased that he took an iconic photo with his fellow Euro 2024 winners by mock-cleaning Lamine’s boots.

Once again, Raphinha almost had a delicious Trivela assist with the outside of his foot in the first half.

And as promised the last time the scoring improved, Lamine vowed to keep playing it.

“This pass is a given for me,” confirmed the left winger. “To be honest, it’s a resource that’s been working really well for me lately. It comes naturally to me, it’s not like I do it all the time in training, it more or less comes out on its own. And I told Rapha that he had it (available to him)…”

Lamine will use the Trivela “many times when it’s something that helps the team,” as frightening news for opposing defenses.

After terrorizing Rami Bensebaini all evening, Lamine was awarded the MVP award – his first in the Champions League.

What matters most to him, however, is that his team “gets victory on such an important ground” after Saturday’s 2-2 defeat against Real Betis.

“We are very satisfied because the team played very well overall. We had clear chances. In the second half they dominated us a little more, but we knew how to resist them and the chances had to be taken,” concluded Lamine.

With the UCL out of the way for 2024 and set to return in January, attention now turns to Leganes in the league on Sunday.

By the time the showdown in Montjuic arrives, bitter rivals Real Madrid could be a single point clear at the top of the La Liga table, having previously trailed Barca by up to six points.
