FC Bayern cancels Christmas show due to Magdeburg attack! | sport

Due to the terrible attack on the Magdeburg Christmas market, FC Bayern reacted after the 5-1 win against RB Leipzig.

The planned Christmas show was canceled at short notice!

Club boss Jan-Christian Dreesen (57) took the microphone and explained: “We imagined me standing here now completely differently.” The background to this is terrible. A horrific attack happened in Magdeburg, perhaps you have already read about it. An unconfirmed number of dead and injured because a person drove a car into a crowd at the Christmas market. That’s why we decided at very short notice to forego our Christmas ceremony today.”

Dreesen continued: “This ceremony should be a happy one, that is not appropriate at this moment.” That is why I would like to ask you all to stand up because it is right and important to remember the relatives and victims. A person who is torn from the center of life. Many injured people at a happy festival. This is something that has saddened us all.”

It becomes quiet in the Allianz Arena.

After the minute’s silence, Dreesen concludes: “Christmas is a festival of love, a symbol of peace.” That’s why we want to sing a song together. There is no more beautiful song on this occasion, a more thoughtful song, than ‘Silent Night, Holy Night’.”

In the attack in Magdeburg, a driver drove into a group of people.
