The Colorado Avalanche have signed forward Tye Felhaber to a two-year, two-way contract. The contract runs for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 seasons. The terms of the contract have yet to be determined. He retained his AHL contract with the Colorado Eagles this season, where he collected 13 points (8 goals, 5 assists) in 23 games.

The courageous forward played 187 games in the AHL with the Colorado Eagles, Milwaukee Admirals (NSH), Syracuse Crunch (TB), Texas Stars (DAL) and Laval Rocket (MTL), recording 67 points (33g/34a). At the moment. Felhaber is on pace to set career highs in both assists and goals in the AHL. Felhaber is 1.75 meters tall and brings an energetic playing style to every line he is on. The Pembroke, Ontario native plays in all three zones for turnovers and goals.

Felhaber worked his way up from the ECHL, where he won the precision shooting competition in 6.5 seconds. During his time in the ECHL, he played 71 games and collected 83 points (26 goals, 57 assists).

The Avalanche have been looking for “locker room guys” with their last two transactions and they have certainly found one here. Even after a defeat, Felhaber always has a smile on his face and is always willing to stop and talk. If the Avalanche needed anyone in their locker room, it was Felhaber.
