FHP arrests driver for drunk driving after fatal crash in Orlando

The Florida Highway Patrol said a driver was arrested for drunken driving after a fatal crash Sunday morning in Orlando. According to FHP, the accident occurred around 4 a.m. Sunday on South Orange Blossom Trail, south of the intersection with Skyview Drive. Troopers said a Lexus IS sedan traveling southbound struck a pedestrian who was walking east-west across the roadway. The woman who was struck was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead. FHP identified the driver of the vehicle as Alyssa Winters, 26, of Orlando and said she was arrested for drunk driving.
