Filming for the film “Peaky Blinders” has been completed

The waiting for Peaky Blinders Fans are now a little more exciting. The eagerly awaited feature film sequel Steven Knights popular crime saga, now apparently officially titled The immortal manShe has completed filming. With Cillian Murphy returns one final time to lead the Shelby clan, along with a stellar cast that includes Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth, Barry KeoghanAnd Stephen GrahamIt looks like we’re getting an epilogue to the Shelby saga in the middle of World War II. The original series first premiered in September 2013 and ended nine years later with a total of 36 episodes over six seasons.

The exciting news about the film’s completion of production came via Instagram posts from members of the film’s crew. Makeup artist Nadia Stacey shared a picture of a parting gift for the hair and makeup team, a bag with Murphy and Keoghan’s faces and the title of the film. The Immortal Man: Peaky Blinders. Barber Gareth Bromell joined in by reposting Stacey’s picture on his Instagram Stories as a makeup artist Olivia Charlotte shared behind-the-scenes snaps of the crew on set.

What is “The Immortal Man” about?

The sixth and final season of Peaky Blinders ended in April 2022, but the film will take us into the Second World War and its impact on the crime scene in Birmingham. Speaking to Esquire, creator Steven Knight gave some insight into what fans can expect from the upcoming film. While the film delves into the next generation of characters introduced in season six, it remains deeply rooted in the Shelby family, with Tommy leading them into a new era.

“The film, I know exactly what it’s about. And I know what two stories it will tell. I don’t know how the story will develop. What happens after that depends on the film. For all we know, someone will show up – I think I know who it will be. In the sixth season we will bring the new generation and they will be part of the action in the film. I think it’s about finding the actors that you just look at and then you think, here we go. That’s where the future is.”
