Final injury status for Cavaliers forward vs. Charlotte Hornets

The Cleveland Cavaliers had several injury concerns last week.

Luckily, Darius Garland and Donovan Mitchell are doing well after worrying Wine and Gold fans on Tuesday night. However, the Cavaliers now have to deal with an injury to their starting small forward.

Isaac Okoro is officially listed as out of for the Cleveland matchup against the Hornets. Dean Wade will move into the Cavaliers’ starting lineup.

Okoro was considered questionable leading up to the game due to a bruised left knee, which forced Okoro to exit Cleveland’s game early on Thursday night.

Kenny Atkinson didn’t seem worried about Okoro’s injury after the incident. He said Okoro told him: “It’s nothing important.” However, it appears the injury was enough to keep him out of that game

Okoro has slotted in well in the starting small forward position, while Max Strus is still sidelined with his ankle sprain.

Ice averages just 6.0 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists, but shoots an efficient 47.9 percent from the field and has provided key performances for the team on defense.

The Charlotte Hornets have a long injury list heading into this matchup against the Cavaliers.

LaMelo Ball, Miles Bridges, Tre Mann, Tidjane Salaun and Grant Williams were all ruled out out of for injuries sustained in Saturday’s game.

The duo of Ball and Brdiges make up a larger part of the Hornets’ scoring game plan, so it will be interesting to see what Cleveland’s defensive plan looks like.
