Flavor Flav claims his festive spirit was broken when NBC officials allegedly kicked him out of the Backstreet Boys’ dressing room at the Rockefeller Christmas Tree Lighting in New York on Wednesday night.

The Christmas extravaganza saw a host of famous faces welcoming the festive season, including the popular boy band and Kelly Clarkson, who hosted the event.

But despite the joyful cheers the event brought, the rapper claimed he was confronted by security while he was backstage to meet with the Backstreet Boys.

“I feel weird…I was invited to the Rockefeller Tree Lighting tonight and was escorted to my boys…THE BACKSTREET BOYS…and we were backstage in their dressing room…Security came up to me and said @nbc doesn’t want me “I’m in this area and I need to go,” the 65-year-old “Fight The Power” hitmaker wrote on X in a now-deleted post.

“At the same time…her social media lady came and asked to capture social content.”

“What have I ever done with NBC or anyone? “I always just try to spread joy and love… and I think I did that for NBC at the Olympics,” he added, referencing his work with NBC during this year’s Olympic Games in Paris.

Flavor Flav, whose real name is William Drayton Jr., said the band filled in for him with security, but he was later seen watching from the crowd as the 74-foot-tall spruce tree lit up the Manhattan sky.

“Christmas in the city is nothing like lighting the Rockefeller tree,” he said.

Thousands of visitors from across the country and abroad waited in line for hours hoping to catch a glimpse of the famous tree.
