“’Flight Risk’ director Mel Gibson explains his aviation thriller in new sneak peek

It’ll be another two weeks until we get it Mel Gibsonis the latest film, the action thriller Flight risk which will play the main role Mark Wahlberg in the lead. JoBlo just shared an exclusive trailer showing Gibson hard at work behind the scenes on the film. The website has also shared a number of images from the film, which can be viewed via this link. The film in which also plays the main role Topher GraceAnd Michelle Dockerybased on a 2020 Black List script by Jared Rosenberg, and Lionsgate decided this was one for their 2025 slate after delaying it from October 2024.

The story revolves around Wahlberg, with an exceptionally bad haircut, as a pilot operating in the Alaskan wilderness while simultaneously flying an air marshal (Dockery) and a refugee (Grace) to their destination. As the journey unfolds, trust begins to break down and tensions rise, revealing that not everyone on board is who they say they are. Dun dun dun.

The film is Gibson’s first film in nine years, since 2016 Hacksaw Ridgethe critically successful war drama, which received six Oscar nominations, including best director and best picture. Andrew Garfield starred in the film as a conscientious observer during World War II and received critical acclaim. Gibson also serves as producer Flight risknext to it John Davis, John Fox, And Bruce Davey.

Mark Wahlberg plays a “Crazy F*cker” in “Flight Risk”

Last year when he spoke about his role in the family film Arthur the King with Collider’s Steve WeintraubWahlberg shared how much he enjoyed embracing an extremely funny and villainous character. He described the role as a chance to go all out and play “the craziest wanker you’ve ever seen”, while also praising Gibson’s exceptional skills as a director and describing his joy at getting to play a villain for the first time in a series of years.

It was phenomenal. It was really remarkable that I was the sponge and loved working with people who have great talent and being able to just watch him and be a student for over 20 days. I play the craziest fucker you’ve ever seen. I haven’t played a villain since fear. It’s not on the charts.
