Florida State QB DJ Uiagalelei declares for the 2025 NFL Draft

Florida State quarterback DJ Uiagalelei declared for the NFL draft on Monday, ending a college career that took him to three different schools.

“The journey hasn’t always been easy, but the ups, the downs and everything in between have shaped me and created relationships that will last forever,” Uiagalelei wrote in his announcement on X, while thanking his family and teammates and coaches.

“Thank you to everyone who has been part of this incredible journey so far. The best is yet to come!” He finished his contribution.

Uiagalelei signed with Clemson in 2020 out of high school as the No. 1 quarterback in the ESPN 300 and eventually started two seasons with the Tigers, leading them to the ACC title game in 2022.

From there, Uiagalelei transferred to Oregon State for one season before joining the Seminoles in 2024.

Uiagalelei struggled at Florida State, completing 84 of 156 passes for 1,065 yards with four touchdowns and six interceptions in five games. He broke his finger against SMU and missed the rest of the season.

The 6-foot-1, 220-pound Uiagalelei finished his college career with 9,384 passing yards, 61 touchdown passes and 30 interceptions, along with 1,124 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns on the ground.

Uiagalelei is not listed among the top 10 prospects in Mel Kiper Jr.’s current position rankings for the 2025 NFL Draft.
