REALLY AFFECTS US AROUND 8 AM, YES, MUCH EARLIER. This fog appears across much of Central Florida. BUT THEN IT WILL ALSO END EARLIER BECAUSE WE HAVE ANOTHER COLD FRONT GOING THROUGH THAT WILL MOVE THE FOG, BRING THE SUNSHINE BACK AND THEN BY THIS TIME TOMORROW. So I hope you’re ready for that. BUT HEY, AT LEAST RIGHT NOW, WHEN YOU’RE GETTING READY FOR WORK OR SCHOOL, OR MAYBE TO TRAVEL, YOU KNOW THAT WE’RE NOT ONLY SEEING THIS FOG ALONG THE COAST. IT ALSO APPLIES TO OUR METRO LOCATIONS. BUT I WANT TO GIVE YOU A LOOK AT BREVARD COUNTY. This is a view of Port Canaveral. THANKS TO OUR FRIENDS AT RUSTY’S AM PORT. Hardly any of the harbor could be seen due to the dense and dense fog, which reached a visibility of about half a mile. TITUSVILLE A 10TH MILE. MIMS, YOU HAVE ZERO MILE VISIBLE. MICCO EVEN AT ZERO MILE VISIBILITY. SO MUCH THICK FOG IN BREVARD COUNTY AT THE AIRPORT HERE IN ORLANDO, WE HAVE VISIBILITY FOR THREE MILES. The same goes for Sanford. Visibility is half a mile in Deland and about a quarter mile in Palm Coast. As a result, areas east of I-75 will be covered in dense fog until 8:00 a.m. this morning. That’s why we have firedamp until 8:00 a.m. So just be careful. BE CAREFUL ON THE ROADS. Also make sure you use the low beam headlights on the road too. The first front that we passed through yesterday is now in the Bahamas, but we have another front that we call a reinforcement front. I’m moving to the parts of the Southeast that will move into Florida at some point, later today, even more so later this morning. THIS FRONT REINFORCEMENT WILL PREVENT THE FOG. IT WILL BRING BACK THE SUNSHINE AND RETURN OUR TEMPERATURES TO TODAY’S AVERAGE TEMPERATURES. So while we start out foggy and cloudy, the sun returns in the afternoon. SO WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW IS GETTING THE CHILDREN READY FOR SCHOOL. It’s foggy in central Florida, but when you pick up the kids it will be pleasant, just like we’re feeling right now. MANY OF US STARTED IN THE 50S AND 60S. THEN TODAY WE’RE BACK AT AVERAGE, MOST LOCATIONS AROUND 73 TO ABOUT 77 DEGREES. BUT TOMORROW YOU WILL NEED THOSE WINTER JACKETS. IT WILL FEEL LIKE THE 30S, EVEN 40S IN OCALA TOMORROW MORNING. It will feel like 33 degrees. 35 IN THE VILLAGES, 37 IN WILDWOOD. IT WILL FEEL LIKE 40 DEGREES IN ORLANDO AND ABOUT 42 DEGREES IN TITUSVILLE. THEN IT WILL BE COOL TOMORROW AFTERNOON, DESPITE SUNSHINE, ALL THANKS TO A NORTH WIND AT ABOUT TEN MILES PER HOUR. KEEPING THE RADIATOR AIR AT TEMPERATURES WHICH ARE HIGH IN THE 50’S AND 60’S. Just as we are waking up, we will have plenty of sunshine on Saturday and Sunday. So despite the colder air, you’ll still get green ticks on both days, which is great news. AND EVEN WARMER ON SUNDAY WITH ABOUT 69 DEGREES. CENTRAL FLORIDA CERTIFIES THE MOST ACCURATE FORECAST SHOWS NEXT WEEK. Our morning temperatures are getting warmer. We’ll be in the 50s, reaching the 60s Thursday morning, but our afternoons will also be quite nice with temperatures in the low and mid 70s.
