Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was injured and hospitalized while traveling to Luxembourg

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi suffered an injury and was taken to a hospital in Luxembourg, Fox News confirmed.

The 84-year-old representative of California traveled to Luxembourg to commemorate the Battle of the Bulge.

The extent of the former speaker’s injury is unknown at the time of this reporting.

“While traveling with a bipartisan congressional delegation to Luxembourg to mark the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge, Speaker Emeritus Nancy Pelosi sustained an injury while on official duty and was hospitalized for evaluation,” Ian Krager, her spokesman, said in a statement.

“Speaker Emerita Pelosi is currently receiving excellent care from doctors and medical professionals. “She continues to work and regrets not being able to participate in the remaining CODEL events to honor the courage of our soldiers during one of the greatest acts of American heroism in our nation’s history,” Krager continued. “Speaker Emerita Pelosi conveys her thanks and praise to our veterans and her gratitude to the people of Luxembourg and Bastogne for their service in World War II and their role in bringing peace to Europe.”

“Speaker Emerita Pelosi had the personal and official honor of traveling with the high-level delegation, many of whom had family members who fought in World War II – including her Uncle Johnny,” he added. “She looks forward to returning to the United States soon.”
