Paul Bissonnette, a former NHL player and hockey analyst for TNT, was attacked by six men at an Arizona restaurant Sunday night after he claimed a group of “drunk golfers” caused a scene after being refused service.

Bissonnette, who last played in the league Arizona coyotes, released a video statement on social media Monday after it was announced that six men were arrested and face assault and disorderly conduct charges stemming from the incident at Houston’s Scottsdale restaurant.

“I go to this place called Houston’s for dinner – I go there about three or four times a week. The staff is incredible, the food is incredible and, like good people, I love going there,” he began.

“At one point there was a bit of a commotion in the bar – there were a few drunk golfers. Things obviously continued to escalate. They asked a man to leave and then one guy kept getting in the manager’s face.” His hands were on him and it probably lasted 30 to 45 seconds. You could tell he was a little shocked, surprised and stunned.

“It’s a family restaurant, I don’t think there was anyone there who could possibly help him. So I went over and just grabbed the arm of the guy who was there (the manager). I said ‘Sir, if you.’ If we continue to harass and attack the staff, we will have problems.” And then they just started complaining. I think there were seven people I argued with as we walked from the restaurant to the parking lot.

Bissonnette, 39, said the argument spilled into the street and he was kicked in the head several times. He said he was then taken to the hospital.

“Got knocked down a few times. “I got kicked in the head three times by CVS – luckily I didn’t pass out,” he said in the video.

“Just like bad guys. Way too drunk and I don’t know what else they had in their system, but yeah, I’m very, very angry at these guys and I kind of want their names out and for them to pay for it.” Piper. Simply unacceptable behavior in a family restaurant just because they couldn’t get another cocktail and didn’t want to hear “no” for an answer. Like I said, I figured I had to get it over with the guy.”
